Math Goals: In November we focused on triangles. We drew the shapes with the shape tool in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Students were able to identify the difference in an isosceles and right triangle. In December we did performed math within our Microsoft Excel workbooks. Students were able to write formulas, figure sums, averages, maximums and minimums. Althought the math is done differently within my classroom and the math classrooms I think it is great for the students to see other ways of performing math.

Poverty Goals: I liked how this worked out in my classroom. I do think that some of the kids did not take it as seriously but the majority of the kids did really well with this. It was interesting to see their reactions to the goals whether they had met or not met them. I think the outside of the classroom goal was important for many students. Reflection is a great tool for everybody.
